Discussion Questions for Chapters 12-14

1. Tell me what you think about this statement from chapter 13 page 198.

Meat is a stimulant, and only outdoor workers should eat it oftener than once a day. Autointoxication is caused by excessive meat-eating.

2. Chapter 14 focuses on meat and what can be done with a small amount of it.

Imagine that you were to look in your fridge to find only a cup (8 oz.) of meat. Tell us what type of meat would it be and what dinner meal would you prepare from it?

Also, please tell us how many people you are responsible for feeding.

This Weeks Reading

We will be reading chapters 12-14 this week. I must admit that some of last weeks reading was just much to outdated to actually apply to our lives today. Through time and experience we have learned how harmful the excessive use of fats can be to our bodies. I think that we all agree on that point. But moving forward I think that overall the book has offered up some invaluable tips to maintaining thrift in the household.

So let's dive into this weeks reading, looking forward to unearthing some golden nuggets that will aid us in our journey towards wise homemaking.

This weeks reading

This week we will be reading chapters 9-11. I have enjoyed reading all of your comments and responses. Reading and discussing the book with you guys has been great.

All of your feedback and the sharing of your personal experiences has caused me to see how much things have changed but also how much they have stayed the same. For instance many people think canning is a thing of the past but I have found that many people today still can foods at home for many of the same reasons that our ancestors did.

Keep the comments coming. Also if you have any suggestions or question email me at scentreprenuer@aol.com or just leave me a comment.
